Dr. Jane Ferris brings over 20 years of experience as an innovative and accomplished educator and administrator in the onsite, online, and blended learning environments to her role as LanguageBird’s President.  She has advocated for student-centered, choice-based learning environments and led school operations and management, policy development and oversight, academic and curriculum planning and support, staff supervision and development, and community engagement.  In addition to having earned a Doctorate of Education in Policy, Planning, and Administration from West Chester University, Dr. Ferris has a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a graduate certificate in Collaborative Mentorship and Coaching, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education (Social Studies), all from The Pennsylvania State University.

Outside of work, Dr. Ferris enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling to new places, learning about history and experiencing new cultures and foods.  She and her family reside near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
