“My experience in the course was intensive and immersive, and I learned a lot. I was challenged to step outside my comfort zone, and my teacher Mercedes did a great job of creating an environment in which I felt safe to take risks.  Because I have a background in poetry, my teacher and I could gear the curriculum toward poetry in Spanish, which was a great way for me to experience the language.”
