Chelsea K.
Guten Tag! My name is Chelsea and I am a German teacher from the United States. I hold a bachelor’s degree in German Language and Literature from the University of Florida. While in college, I was lucky enough to study abroad for a year at Leuphana University in the north of Germany. After graduation, I returned to Germany to be an Aupair for a family who worked at the Münchner Kammerspiele, a well-known theater in Munich.
Over the past 15 years, I have taught German at the high school and college level, worked at a German immersion preschool, and offered one-on-one German tutoring to learners of all ages. Outside of teaching, I love to paint, play music and spend time with my dog. I’m very interested in German literature, art and music (anything from classical to punk to electronic) and always love to chat about it. Learning a foreign language is a life changing experience! As an educator, it is important to me to use a student-centered learning approach. I strive to create lessons that cater to your personal needs, interests and goals, and of course it is a priority to have fun along the way! Bis bald!
