Guten Tag! My name is Danique and I am from the Netherlands. At the moment, I am living in France while learning French at the same time. As a teacher, I find it important to always keep learning to remember the joy but also frustrations of learning a new language. After studying abroad in Germany for a semester, I became very passionate about immersing myself fully in different languages and cultures. Living in a different country allowed me to see how deeply language and culture are connected and how important it is to learn about both at the same time. After that, I had the opportunity to complete a graduate degree in German Studies in the United States, immersing myself in yet another culture. Next to my studies, I taught German for two years with a learner-focused, playful, communicative and cultural approach, because I’m convinced that learning languages is the most effective when it’s fun and relevant for the learner. I am excited to share my passion for the German language and culture with you in a way that aligns with your goals and learning methods, with lessons that you can look forward to and have fun with!
