Hi! My name is Emma, and I’m from Texas. I’m a May 2023 Graduate of Texas Tech University’s ITP (Interpreter Training Program), where I earned a Bachelor’s of Arts with a dual major in Psychology and Languages & Cultures, with a concentration in ASL/English Interpreting. I’ve been studying ASL since 2017, and I’m continuing my studies by working towards becoming a BEI Certified ASL Interpreter. In recent years, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to tutor both high school and college level ASL students. I’ve dreamed of teaching since I was a little girl, and I’m so excited to be your ASL teacher! American Sign Language is a beautiful and fun language to learn, with a rich culture; I look forward to sharing it with you! In my spare time, I love to spend time outdoors whether it’s hiking, camping, taking my dog for walks, or tending to my garden. I also enjoy painting, reading, and spending quality time with my family!
