Minha L.

Korean Instructor

Hello! I was born and raised in Busan, South Korea, and I am currently living in Utah while studying for my Master’s program in Second Language and Teaching. For the past three years, I have taught Korean to American high school and college students, and I absolutely love this job. Not only do I enjoy teaching the Korean language and culture, but I also love genuinely communicating with my students, listening to their stories, and building relationships with them. I prefer to create fun classes centered around various activities and real-life expressions used in Korea, rather than strictly teaching grammar and vocabulary. Additionally, I am flexible in adjusting my lessons based on students’ needs and questions, helping them learn Korean effectively!

Stepping away from the topic of teaching, let me tell you a bit about myself. I enjoy cooking Korean food and sharing delicious meals with my husband. Back in high school in Korea, I was part of a K-pop dance team, and I still love dancing to K-pop songs! Over the past 26 years, I’ve lived in Korea, the U.S., and Japan, encountering various people and cultures. This experience taught me how to embrace and respect diversity, and to love those I meet. I aim to teach each of my students with respect and love!
